As an IT Documentation Intern, you will be integral to improving the clarity and accessibility of our technical knowledge base. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Documentation Creation: Work with IT specialists and engineers to document procedures, system configurations, network diagrams, and application usage guides.
Knowledge Base Management: Help maintain and organize our internal and external knowledge bases (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, internal wikis), ensuring information is current, accurate, and easy to find.
Template Development: Assist in developing standardized templates for various types of documentation (e.g., runbooks, post-mortem reports, user manuals) to ensure consistency across the department.
Content Review: Review existing documentation for clarity, completeness, grammar, and adherence to company standards, making necessary edits and updates.
Process Mapping: Assist in mapping out and documenting IT operational processes and workflows.
User Training Materials: Contribute to the creation of simple training materials or quick guides for end-users on new IT tools or processes.
Proposal creation: coordinate with IT team to create proposal for clients and then coordinate with client to create a detailed development document for IT team
Requirements:
Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical Writing, Library Science, Communications, or a related field.
Technical Aptitude: A basic understanding of IT concepts, terminology, and infrastructure (e.g., networking, operating systems, cloud services) is highly desirable.
Writing & Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and accessible language for diverse audiences.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and completeness.
Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with documentation tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Markdown, and/or knowledge base platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Wiki software
